Contact (the series)

In this series I (re)visit places of significance to my own and the collective Swedish-American migration narrative in primarily Ångermanland, Sweden, and Montana, USA. The contact prints are made with paper negatives exposed in antique large-format view cameras. The exposures vary from 1 to 10 minutes, thus expanding the idea of the decisive moment, and as a meditation on geographic and temporal migration.
